The Natural & Artificial
Whether exploring artificial or natural surroundings, my creative process has always centered around the same idea: what affects us as humans? From our everyday objects - to the beauty of a simple flower, I'm intrigued by the similarities and distinctions between the two. My work evidences this curiosity through various forms of printmaking such as relief, laser-engraving, and letterpress. These art forms are not just a way of lifting up an image but also a means of understanding the cultural and societal implications of both man-made artifacts and nature - a journey that sparks continual inquiry into what changes we can make in our daily lives.
I strive to capture the intersection between man and nature - to explore not only physical relationships but also spiritual connections. Through these connections, I hope to expand perspectives of our understanding of art and life and inspire others to find meaning in their own space. Ultimately, we can create a more sustainable future through creative expression.
